Convicted Rapist on the Loose in Oneida County

The New York State Department of Corrections & Community Supervision is warning the public of a convicted Rapist who violated his strict and intensive supervision on the loose.

66-year-old Ronald Cook of Eagle Street in Utica was convicted of 1st degree Rape in August 1991. According to the New York State Sex Offender Registry, Cook raped a 24-year-old woman he did not know in October of 1990.

On November 8th, 2017 Cook cut off his GPS monitoring device and ceased reporting to his assigned Parole Officer. He is now on the loose. Cook was last seen in the Rome area wearing a bright yellow windbreaker. The Department of Corrections & Community Supervision warns that Ronald Cook should be considered dangerous.

Cook is a white male with grey and brown hair, hazel eyes and corrective lenses. If you see Ronald Cook you are urged to contact law enforcement immediately.
