Do you know which state has an average temperature year round, near 80 °F and 70 °F in the mountains? Answer: Puerto Rico. Wait a minute, they are not a state but it appears they want to be.
According to the Associated Press and LDNews, a slim majority of Puerto Ricans sought to change Puerto Rico's relationship with the United States. They actually want to become the 51st state, if their congress approves it.

According to the Lebanon Daily News:

The two-part referendum asked whether the island wanted to change its 114-year relationship with the United States. Nearly 54 percent, or 922,374 people, sought to change it, while 46 percent, or 786,749 people, favored the status quo. Ninety-six percent of 1,643 precincts were reporting as of early Wednesday.

President Obama says he would stand behind the will of the people, if there is a clear majority that want it. What do you think?
