Has this happened to you? You skipped lunch and stop at the grocery store on your way home from work. Quickly your cart is filled up with stuff you hadn’t intended to buy but did because you’re so hungry. Ever done that?
If you have, and I certainly have, it’s exactly what you shouldn’t do, according to Cooking Channel Host Lisa Lillien. She shared some skinny shopping tips for women with Glamour magazine.
Tip #1: Never, ever shop when you’re feeling hungry. It’s pretty easy to figure out why. You’ll end up buying too many of the wrong things.
Tip#2: Write down what you need to buy and stick to that list. Lisa says it’s essential to be armed with a shopping list.
Tip #3: Pay attention to the details. Read the label carefully not just for calories but also serving size too.
Tip #4: Stock up on produce. If you’re trying to add more veggies to your diet, it’s great to have your fridge already filled with them. Perfect for snacks too.
