Video of Historic Dansville, New York from 1940s Restored, Posted to YouTube
It’s a look at small town New York that you just don’t see anymore. A movie of scenes from the small Livingston County village of Dansville has been posted on YouTube.
Restored and saved from the ravages of time by YouTube user jetcat4445t, here is how the video is described:
This old film was shot in Dansville, NY in the summer of 1940. The film was rescued from certain lost by myself . i found it on an old VHS tape the library had that was made in the 80′s . though the original film i believe is lost , i was able to remaster the crude video off the tape and preserve it on DVD’s for future generations . The film centers around what i believe to be the fourth of July. I hope you enjoy the film as much as i did.
