Death Of Michael Fanfarillo Still Under Investigation

Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol says the death of 4 year old Michael Fanfarillo of Western is still being investigated.

Fanfarillo, who died after being left unattended in a car earlier this year is the son of Rome Police officer Mark Fanfarillo.

Maciol says the investigation is pending lab results from the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's office, and once complete, will be reviewed by The Sheriff's Office and the Oneida County District Attorney.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says the amount of time it has taken to complete the investigation is and has been consistent with other death investigations and more information will be released as soon as any updated become available.
