Just because Demi Moore sometimes posts bikini photos of herself on her Twitter account doesn’t mean she can’t also be a feminist. In fact, she’s just signed on to play one of the most famous feminists in the world: Gloria Steinem.

Moore, 49, has joined the cast of ‘Lovelace,’ an independent drama about the life of ‘Deep Throat’ porn star Linda Lovelace. In the film, she’ll play Steinem, the 1970s icon and Ms. magazine founder who published an article claiming Lovelace was forced into a life of porn by her husband — sometimes at gunpoint.

‘Lovelace’ also stars Amanda Seyfried as the title character, Peter Sarsgaard as her husband Chuck Traynor, and James Franco as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

This is not to be confused with the other upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic, ‘Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story,’ starring Malin Ackerman (who filled in when Lindsay Lohan dropped out), Matt Dillon and adult-film-star turned-children’s-book-reader Sasha Grey. Two Linda Lovelace biopics? This is ‘Deep Impact’ Vs. ‘Asteroid’ all over again.
