Did a tornado touch down in Central New York? Severe storms brought thunder, lightning and strong winds Tuesday night, August 16th. But was it funnel clouds or a tornado? The National Weather Service has not confirmed any tornadoes yet, but did spot a funnel cloud in Oswego County. A few local photographers caught what looks like a tornado but we'll have to wait for official word from the NWS.

Adam Hopkinson captured a possible tornado touching down near the Thornwood Mx Track in Williamstown, New York in the photo above. Local photographer Shane Muckey also captured several photos of the storm that you can see below and video of what looks like a tornado on the ground near Altmar, New York as it heads for Tug Hill above. You can also watch in HD on Muckey's Facebook page.

More swirling clouds can be seen over Constableville, New York that were captured by Kathleen Cavanaugh that is also in the video above.

National Weather Service did send out tornado warnings in Oswego and Lewis Counties last night and will send representatives to the area today  Radar image shows what appears to be a possible tornado.
