Downtown Utica Streets Closed For Construction Through Next week

The NYS Department of Transportation reports that I-790 paving operations will continue, and hopefully wrap up this week, weather permitting. The majority of the work is between between Edic Road and Leland Ave. Two-lane traffic eastbound and/or westbound will be reduced to one-lane traffic during daytime hours. You'll have to slow down to a reduced speed limit to 45 mph in the work zone.  A slowdown is to be expected in downtown Utica as well.

For the next ten days things are going to be congested in downtown Utica. Utica police have announced that Charlotte Street from Devereaux to Elizabeth, and Elizabeth from Genessee Street to Burnet Street will be closed due to construction. Plan alternate routes and drive carefully!
