Drunk Actor Causes $5,000 Worth Of Damage To The Ed Sullivan Theater

It’s never a good idea to break into a TV set and destroy it. I guess no one ever told this guy this.

According to TMZ, A drunken, 22-year-old aspiring actor broke in to the famed Ed Sullivan Theater where David Letterman’s “Late Show” tapes and caused $5,000 worth of damage. Jimmy Whittemore was busted early Sunday morning after police say he kicked in the theater’s glass doors, trashed the box office and lobby, turned over garbage cans and knocked over velvet rope stands.

Whittemore was arraigned this morning and charged with Burglary in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree. He is being held on $6,000 bond and his next court date is July 15.
