Former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer plans a return to office with a run for the New York City comptroller's office. According to an interview released Sunday night by The New York Times, and his announcement this weekend that's he's gathering signatures to make the run, we'll be hearing more Mr. Spitzer in coming weeks. You may recall that he resigned from the governorship in 2008 amidst a high-profile prostitution scandal.

Eliot Spitzer went on to co-host the CNN show "In The Arena," which was later canceled by the network. More recently, Eliot hosted "Viewpoint" on Current TV.
According to The Huffington Post:

Speaking to the Times, Spitzer said, "I'm hopeful there will be forgiveness, I am asking for it." He also explained what he would like to do with the position:

What do you think? Will voters give him a second chance?
