Elton Won’t Be At Royal Wedding
January 27, 2011 12:30 PM When Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot on April 29th, Elton John won’t be at the royal wedding. Why won’t he be there?
Simple reason why he won’t be there. He wasn’t invited. However, he doesn’t seem to bitter about it. Despiste being very close with Prince William’s Mom, Princess Diana, he says he doesn’t know Prince William or his brother Prince Harry too well. He tells Reuters, “I would not expect to be invited to the wedding. I don’t really know the boys at all. I met the boys and had lunch with them when their mother was alive. I re-met them again when I did the concert for Diana a couple of years ago. They’re tremendous boys, but I don’t know them, so it would be presumptious of me to even talk about them.” As for the happy couple, he wishes them the best day, sunshine and hopes it’s a happy occasion.
