Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building. Hell, he’s left this earthly plane. Still, that isn’t stopping the tabloids from printing articles about Elvis Presley sightings… But this time around, their stories will be slightly more accurate.

Fans will be able to “see” the King again, as the digital company that created the Tupac Shakur Coachella hologram is creating an Elvis likeness. Hologram masterminds have teamed up with the holder of Elvis licenses to produce a series of virtual Elvises for a range of entertainment projects, including for film and TV.

A projected Elvis? How amazing would it be to see that curled lip and those shaking hips up close and personal again? The digital King is alive! He better be wearing one of his signature jumpsuits…

The holographic Elvis will be used on the big and small screens, and will also be projected at concerts, too.

“His lifelong fans will be thrilled all over again, and new audiences will discover the electric experience of Elvis the performer,” said Jack Soden, president and CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “The high level of quality entertainment that both Core Media Group and Digital Domain deliver gives us great confidence that these projects will help continue the growth of Elvis’ rich legacy all over the world.”
