Remsen's Erin Hamlin has become the first American to win an Olympic medal in the Luge event in the history of the Winter Olympic Games after winning the bronze.
Her family and friends gathered at the F.X. Matt Brewery's 1888 Tavern to watch her final two runs this morning.

Hamlin's uncle Ray Hamlin was overjoyed with her win and said he wanted to thank all of her supporters.
