Music Festival to Benefit Flood Survivors

St. Patrick’s Music Ministry and the Oneida Council of Churches is sponsoring an event, Amazing Grace in Survival: A Music Festival Joining Hearts in Celebration to benefit those in Oneida surviving the flood waters of last summer. The festival will be held on November 17th, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:30 at St. Patrick’s Church in Oneida. Among the musicians performing at the event are: St. Patrick’s School Select Choir, Max Smith, Steve Laureti, Praxis Saxophone Quartet, Oneida Area Civic Chorale, Syracuse Children’s Choir, Sunshine Choir and Wind Dancers and many more. Music will be performed throughout the day and people are welcome to come for the afternoon or for an hour.

Raffle tickets are being sold to benefit the flood survivors and the winning tickets will be drawn the day of the event at 3:00. A framed print of the recently deceased local artist James Colway is one of the 18 prizes to be raffled off at the festival. Tickets can be purchased at the event, at Oneida Office Supply, Oneida Churches, Smith Decorating or by calling 363-8363 for $2.00 each or three for $5.00.

In lieu of admission, a free-will donation will be taken to help those who have lost so much of their lives from the flooding of at least 150 homes and to replenish their needs especially around the holidays. Please come and join us for your favorite group, an hour, or the afternoon and support the survivors.
