The Annual East Utica Classic Charity Golf Tournament Takes Place August 24th

All Proceeds Donated to the Demkowitch family

This year’s event will take place August 24th at Valley View Golf Course. The annual event begins at 1:00p.m.

The Annual East Utica Classic Charity Golf Tournament has selected the Demokowitch Family to be the beneficiary of all proceeds of this year’s tournament.

Tony Demokowitch and his wife Shauna recently welcomed their third child, a baby boy. In the beginning stages of pregnancy the unborn baby was diagnosed with Spina Bifida (Myelomeningocele), which caused an un-fused portion of the spinal cord to protrude through an opening in the lower back. The parents later learned that their baby would be eligible for a prenatal Spina Bifida surgery, which can greatly improve mobility and increase the chances of walking independently. The surgery was successful, but many obstacles, including ongoing expensive medical treatment remain.

The Annual East Utica Charity Event aims to assist the Demokowitch family as they continue their difficult journey of raising a newborn infant inflicted with this debilitating disease.

The Annual East Utica Classic Charity Golf Tournament was started in 2011 by Rocco Cornacchia and Joe Cracchiolo, along with the help of many other residents of East Utica, as a way to gather people together to help support local community members while having an event that is entertaining and encompasses the very best nature of those who call East Utica home.Hole sponsorships begin at $50 and for more information on how to donate please contact any of the Committee Members listed below.
