There is going to be a few slow spots on the road this week that we thought we'd like to tell you about so you can plan accordingly. The trouble spots are on Rt. 233, Rt. 5 and Rt. 8.

If your traveling in Rome or in the town of Westmoreland today, be prepared for a  Route 233 shoulder closure between Rome and Westmoreland due to topsoil placement. This will slow you down a bit.

Also, near New Hartford on Route 5 at the Applewood/Cherrywood intersection drivers will encounter intermittent traffic signal installation work so expect minor delays.

Route 8 over S & W Railroad, between Genesee Street and Washington Mills will also be a slow go as you'll encounter a lane closure northbound and southbound 24/7, due to bridge maintenance.
And one more trouble spot to tell you about, Route 840 eastbound is have milling and paving work done so expect a lane closure and minor delays.

Drive safely.
