Expect Road Work This Holiday Weekend on The 790, Rt.5 & Rt. 26
May 26, 2012 9:01 AM Are you hitting the road this Memorial Day weekend? We thought we’d help you get there quicker by providing you with the details on some trouble spots. More road work is expected that we’d like to tell you about as you head out to the barbaque this weekend.
In North Utica, where I travel home everyday, the I-790 roadwork continues between Edic Road and Leland Ave. At times you will encounter a lane closure eastbound or westbound, due to crack sealing operations.
In New Hartford, Route 5 at the Applewood/Cherrywood intersection you may encounter intermittent traffic signal installation work. That may slow ya down a bit.
And in the town of Vernon, Route 26 at Town Line Road, drivers will encounter a northbound lane closure due to culvert work. One-way alternating traffic will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal. A slight delay can be expected.
