Facebook Making Changes to Improve Mobile Profiles
More changes are coming to Facebook. The social media site is unveiling some new, mobile-friendly features for Facebook profiles. There are "three main improvements that will give you more opportunities to express who you are and control the content showcased on your profile."
Bring Your Profile to Life
Things have changed since Facebook profiles began in 2004. "We’re seeing people create and view more videos than ever before. Today we’re starting to test the next step in an obvious evolution of profiles: profile videos." Soon, you’ll can film a short, looping video to play for anyone who visits your profile.
Temporary Profile Pictures
Don't worry, you're profile pictures won't disappear. There will be new features to let your personality shine through. You can set a temporary profile picture that reverts back to your previous picture at a specified time. Want to support your team, commemorate a special milestone or show off a great #tbt picture? Create a temporary profile picture for those moments.
Improved Profile Controls
You’ve always been able to control who can see your information but now it's easier with a new customizable space at the top of your profile.
Design Improvements to Your Mobile Profile
You'll see design changes with bigger, centered profile pictures and photos and friends at the top, making them easier to see.
A small number of iPhone users in the UK and California are seeing the changes already.
