This is going to be such a great event the whole family is going to enjoy - It's the 'Falling for Utica Festival' at Utica's only container park.

Coming up this Sunday (October 14th), is "Falling for Utica," an event to celebrate the fall season in our area, and spend some great quality family time together... for FREE.

According to the Falling for Utica Festival Facebook Event Page, this fun-filled day of activities is being put on by the "Handshake City" and "Made in Utica." And they've created quite an event with live music, local vendors, food trucks, and games and activities. You can even bring your pup to the event! Hey, they ARE part of the family, right??

The Falling for Utica Festival goes from 12pm to 4pm at the "backyard of downtown Utica," which is at 26 Whitesboro Street. And those four hours are going to be packed with fun activities. Just look at the schedule according the Falling for Utica Festival Facebook Event Page:

12pm: Legend of Sleepy Hollow kids puppet show from The Guild of Thespian Puppets

12:30-3:30pm: Live music from Our Common Roots

1-2pm: Family Yoga Fun at Handshake.City with Beautiful Dream Yoga - Sarah Nycole

For the rest of the afternoon, you can enjoy a delicious snack from one of the food trucks that will be on-site (as of right now there are five trucks scheduled to be there). Maybe grab a light meal from "The Healthy Choice Food Truck" or grab something a little more filling from "R1ck's Roaming BBQ." There's even going to be beer available from Copper City Brewing Company.

Of course you can do some shopping and browsing with the many local vendors that will be there, as well. You could pick up anything from chocolates to soaps and lotions to some amazing artwork. And for the kids? Well, there will be pumpkin painting, games, and other activities so they can enjoy the afternoon, too.

Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a fall Sunday in Central New York, right?? Celebrate fall, and coming together as a family AND a community during the 'Falling for Utica Festival."
