Family Dog Eats $1,000 in Cash

As heard on your information update this morning, a Florida couple who left $1,000 cash on the counter said they were surprised to come home and find that their dog had eaten the money. About two weeks ago, Christy Lawrenson left a cash-filled envelope on the counter at home. The cash was supposed to help to pay off Lawrenson’s car, but when her husband came home on his lunch break, he found pieces of $100 bills all around the floor.

What wasn’t on the floor was in their dog’s stomach until Christy’s husband poured a peroxide mix down its throat. The dog vomited up the rest of the money and the couple was able to piece nine of the ten $100 bills together. They mailed what remained of the last bill to the U.S. Department of Treasury in hopes that, after reading their story, they’d be able to replace it. (FOX)

I’d like to pay for that with cash but our dog ate my money. Yeah, that’ll work.
