If you've lived in Central New York for awhile you're well aware of the fact that there's no shortage of great eating establishments here. Here's some of my favorite spots for breakfast!

Flo's Diner

I visited this cozy little place last Saturday with one of my buddies. I'll never know how we discovered it but I'm sure glad we did! They're hidden off of 31 in Canastota and nearby beautiful Oneida Lake. Don't blink though I don't want you to miss out on their 10 cent coffee. You heard me right a hot cup of java is only 10 cents! Here's the crazy thing: Flo's has over 15 menu items for under $1.00! Our waitress was amazing and was more than happy to recommend her menu favorites. I ordered the Western omlette. Not only was it over FLO'ing with deliciousness, it only cost me $3.75. If you don't wanna break the bank this holiday season stop in to Flo's Diner before you head out to Syracuse to do your shopping but be advised they don't accept credit cards.

Top of the Morning Cafe

I stopped into this amazing place one morning after work. I was pleasantly surprised when they told me they had free Wi-Fi. That worked out great because I was able to open up my laptop and write blogs like this one. Top of the Morning Cafe is family owned but I knew it even before I asked. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed like one of their own. I ordered the frittata and the eggs were cooked perfectly. They also brought me some scrumptious sausage served with a smile.  I've also had lunch here and the portions are HUGE!  If you travel the thruway for work or school look for exit 31, then exit and eat! Top of the Morning to ya!

Baggs Square Cafe

If you're heading home for the holidays via rail be sure and stop in here for a delicious breakfast before boarding your train. Baggs Square Cafe is conveniently located inside Utica's Union Station and the food is crazy good! I ordered the "Broad Street Breakfast:" The meal included two eggs, a generous slice of ham, and brioche french toast. Simply put, this was the best french toast I've ever had!

Bagg's Square Cafe takes its savory cues from French Bistro's, with delicious soups we make every day and salads that are crisp and bright.
