Car company Ford is in a little hot water for an ad campaign that revolved around making light of kidnapping in order to advertise the trunk space of their Ford Figo, with one ad putting a caricature of Paris Hilton in the role of driver and Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian bound and gagged in the trunk.

As the ad states, "Leave your worries behind with Figo's extra-large boot." Or in layman's term, our trunk is so big, it can fit three whole Kardashians!

The photo hints that Hilton has taken revenge against the sisters for stealing the spotlight of “most famous person who does absolutely nothing yet still makes oodles of cash” away from her.

The company has since apologized, and JWT India, the ad agency who created the images said, “They have never been paid for and were not expected to be released.” Unfortunately, they still ended up being published on the website Ads of the World last Friday (March 22).

The advertisements were created in and seemed to be aimed at an Indian audience, as the Ford Figo is currently meant for sale in developing countries.

“We take this very seriously and are reviewing approval and oversight processes, and taking necessary steps to ensure nothing like this ever happens again,” wrote Ford spokesperson Sethi Deepti.

Another advert from the same campaign featured Italy's former Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi, with three prostitutes tied up in the back of the hatchback with ball gags in their mouths. In case you've forgotten, Berlusconi was embroiled in a sex scandal in which he was accused of having sex with minors.

Hey Ford, just because people joke about a trunk being able to hold X-amount of dead prostitutes doesn't mean you should build an ad campaign around it.

Yet another ad (one which didn't cause much controversy in comparison) had Formula One driver Michael Schumacher as kidnapper and fellow competitors Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso tied up in the trunk. Interestingly enough, none of them were drawn with ball gags.
