They may have French Fries, and the Eiffel Tower in France, but the one thing they don't have is male teachers. Apparently there's a huge shortage of male teachers and officials are worried that boy students will end up suffering. How I wonder?

According to The Time, the idea is that boys don't have enough male role models and that male teachers provide students with "strength and sensibility." Does that mean female teachers are providing "weakness and impulsiveness?" I guess we wont answer that question now...

France is going so far as to consider offering a better salary in hopes of attracting guys from the worlds of science and business. So any male teachers looking to travel, god speed!
