Fresh Mex in Rome – New Restaurant Review

Lunch today was from Fresh Mex, newly opened in The Grand building on Dominick Street in Rome. Davey Jones from Oldiez 96 rode along as we tried the area’s newest Mexican restaurant.
The menu is very similar to others restauarnts in the fast causal Mexican category. You have your choice of meals (burrito, bowl, nacho, tacos or salad) as well as choice of filling (beef, chicken, pork, shimp or vegetarian). The portions were big and the toppings plentiful.
I chose the burrito bowl with pork, which is my meal of choice when I got to a Chipotle or Moe’s. The cilantro-lime rice was a highlight for me.
Davey and I agreed, the best part of the meal was the fresh chips and salsa.
Fresh Mex features several tables, including 3 hightops for indoor eating and some outdoor seating as well.
