Ever been to The Fly Creek Cider Mill outside of Cooperstown?  It had been a few years since I was there.  Over the weekend I spent some time at the Fly Creek Cider Mill and  had such fun.   There's so much to see and do while you're there, any time of the year.

The weather was beautiful while I was at the Fly Creek Cider Mill, walking around looking at vintage tractors, feeding the ducks and watching the chickens chase each other around.  Kids love to feed the ducks and by the look of it, the ducks love it too.

The snack bar has expanded since I was last there and I'm really glad they still make their white cheddar mac and cheese.  Yummy!  Walnut lovers, try one of their banana nut muffins.  They are loaded with nuts.  Eat it there or take it to go.

One of my favorite things to do is shop and wandering around the Fly Creek store is very cool.  Sample their donuts, cider, salsa, dips and a bunch of other tasty treats.  Looking for a unique gift?  I always found unusual gifts at Fly Creek.    Head upstairs for the toys, Vera Bradley, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas items.  Literally an entire room filled with decorations of every kind.

Oh, I forgot to mention the fudge.  Really cool flavors, like banana split, orange creamsicle, raspberry chocolate and key lime.  They'll also let you sample the flavors before you buy.  And if you buy pound of fudge, you get half a pound free.  Needless to say, I always come home with a big box of fudge!

A trip to the Fly Creek Cider Mill can be educational too but in a fun way.  Throughout the Mill, there are fun facts posted on the walls.  Upstairs in the store you're able to watch the cider mill press.

The little kids can play on the playground while Mom and Dad enjoy a snack.  The Fly Creek Cider Mill is open all year round, except for Thanksgiving Day and Easter Sunday.  Plus, there are lots of cool events they feature throughout the year.

Make a trip sometime soon to The Fly Creek Cider Mill.  Anytime is fun to visit the Mill but the fall is especially ideal as the leaves turn and the smell of apples make a crisp fall day even better.
