Funeral For Kevin Ward Today

Kevin Ward Jr.of Port Leyden was laid to rest today.

Ward was killed Saturday when he got out of his car during a sprint car race at Canandaigua Motorsports Park and was hit by NASCAR star Tony Stewart.

Family and friends wore Ward's racing colors in his memory during visitation at the funeral home yesterday.

The funeral was held at at South Lewis High School in Turin to accommodate the large crowd.

More than 700 mourners jammed the auditorium for the 90-minute service,

The 20-year old Ward was a 2012 graduate of the school
