08:47pm – It’s OVER!  Tsarnaev is found hiding under tarp in a boat parked in the backyard of a Franklin Street home.  His condition is unknown but he’s alive.

07:48pm Police surround a building in the Franklin Street area.  The situation is being described as extremely volatile.  The suspect is believed to be inside a boat.  Officials think he may still be wearing a suicide vest and are proceeding carefully.

07:29pm A CNN reporter on the scene is reporting that children are being carried out of a Franklin Street building.  They are being taken to an ambulance waiting in a nearby parking lot.

7:19pm Residents in the Franklin Street area are being told to remain inside because of  a “heavy police presence” in the area.

7:10pm Police have rushed into the Franklin Street, Watertown area.  The lockdown has been reinstituted.  The are reports that shots have been fired.

06:50pm Governor Patrick says residents must “remain vigilant” as a dangerous man is still at large.

6:16pm Mass transit is now operational.  Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is lifting the “stay at home” order.  Officials, however, say that they are no closer to capturing “Suspect #2,” Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, at this hour than they were earlier in the day.

Mayor Tom Menino says the community will “get through this crisis” together.

As the search continues into the evening, the FBI and Boston Police are asking the public to contact them with tips.  Calls can be made to the FBI Tipline at: (800) CALL-FBI (800.225.5324) or via e-mail at boston@ic.fbi.gov.

5:28pm The door-to-door search continues.

In a story on CNN’s website, the suspects’ father, Anzor Tsarnayev, is quoted as telling a Russian news agency that his sons were framed.  ”I don’t know who exactly did it. But someone did. And being cowards, they shot the boy dead. There are cops like this.”

2:35pm Reports are being received that a sister of the suspect, 22-year old Ailina Tsarnaev, is now being questioned by police. News 12 New Jersey spoke with the woman through a cracked door.

2:07pm Boston Police are now looking for a different car.  Anyone who has seen a green 1999 Honda sedan, license plate number 116-GC7, is asked to call Boston Police immediately.

1:35pm The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency is telling workers to go home.A message on the agency’s website says “shelter in place” restrictions remain in effect but they do not prevent workers from returning home:

1:22pm The Boston Police Department says that the public should expect another controlled explosion this afternoon on Norfolk Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 1:07pm The Boston Police Department is extending its condolences to the family of MIT Police Officer Sean Collier, killed last night in the shootout. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s Twitter account is revealed.  For the full story click here. The suspects’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, is calling his nephews “losers,” and is urging Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to turn himself into authorities and “ask for forgiveness.”  He said they “put a shame on our…family” and on the Chechen people.  For the interview click here.

12:55pm Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is asking residents to remain safe and stay inside their homes as police continue searching for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.  Police Chief Ed Deveau is thanking citizens for their “exceptional patience and cooperation.”

12:46pm Boston Police say sixty percent of their search is complete.  They are asking the public to remain patient while they continue their investigation.  The area lockdown remains in effect for Watertown, Massachusetts.

11:42am There are no updates on the law enforcement from but more information on the bombing suspects is emerging. The Boston Globe is saying it appeared that the “(b)ombing suspects were local, ‘normal’ US immigrants.”  According to a story written by Mark Arsenault, Patricia Wen, and David Filipov in the Globe, the two brothers came to the United States five years ago from southern Russia, near Chechnya “…and assimilated through school and sports into the Greater Boston community and culture.” 26-Year old Tamerlan Tsarnaev is dead. He was a boxer whom the Globe is saying was possibly Olympic-bound.  For a profile story on Tamerlan click here.

11:35amReports that police are “swarming” Watertown continue; guns are drawn.

11:01am University of Massachusetts Dartmouthis on lockdown after officials confirmed that the suspect was a student at the college. A “controlled evacuation” of the college has been underway since 10:28am.

10:50am Boston Police are reporting that the car has been found unoccupied.  Taxi service in the city has been restored.  Law enforcement authorities are examining the car for evidence:

10:35am Boston Police are now looking for a car with this license plate.  It is a four-door 1999 Honda CRV, possibly gray.  Authorities are asking anyone who has seen the car to immediately call them. The Boston Globeis reporting that residents of Watertown, Massachusetts should remain inside their homes.  Police are looking for the suspect in the area:

Boston Police are saying a suspicious device was detonated safely near Comm Avenue and Charlesgate. An updated posting on the department’s Facebook page warned residents that the community-wide lockdown remains in effect and warned residents to open their doors only to uniformed officers only.

A cold late January night was plenty warm inside the historic Saranac Brewery in Utica as we celebrated the first “Saranac Thursday” of the new year, Townsquare Media’s Red Hot Singles Mingle.

Now you didn’t really have to be single to enjoy this night out.  All that was required was the  willingness to enjoy some great Saranac products, jammin’ music and two floors of the Saranac Brewery open to you and all the party you could handle.

A Central New York holiday tradition is the Christmas Village at Turning Stone Resort Casino.  The hallway near the entrance to Season’s Harvest Buffet is turned over to the pastry chefs who make gingerbread magic.

We need your help in locating a missing 14-year-old Central New York girl.  Talyah Witten of Utica has been missing since Sunday.  Police in New Hartford and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children are conducting a search.

From her family -

Talyah Whitten ran away from the House of The Good Shepard in Utica on Saturday 6/16/2012.  She has lived there for 6+ months.  She was last seen at a Jewish Community Center in Utica early Sunday afternoon.  She has no resources, all she left with were the clothes she was wearing; a tank top, black leggings and flip-flops.  She will most likely lie about her age and situation.  We have been showing her photo and posting flyers for almost 3 days now and have nothing to lead us to her…if there is anything you can do to help us get the word out, we could use any help we could get.  Again her name is Talyah Whitten, she is 14, she is 5’10″, 130 lbs.  She has dark brown shoulder length hair and green eyes.

The family of 17-year-old Amanda Akins of Camden is asking for your help in locating her.  She has been missing since Monday afternoon.

According to the Facebook page of relative Christopher Phelps, Amanda did not get off the school bus as expected on Monday afternoon May 14.  Her family has contacted the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and has taken to social media to spread the word on her disappearance.

The family shared with us that at some point on Monday it is believed that Amanda met up with her boyfriend after leaving her father’s house that morning.  The family has also provided more photos.

Wolf Oak Acres offers such affordable activities that we were able to try everything we could: Corn Cannon and Slingshot, Jumping Pillow, Lasso Station, Pedal Karts, Cow Train and Hayride. Everything cost a dollar! (Except for the cow train- that was free this weekend!) It was a little too chilly for my brother to want to try Gemstone Mining and the baby was getting fussy so we decided to skip the giant corn maze this time. However, we did make sure to catch the Piglet Race and Critter Corner before we left. They had fudge tasting and concessions, a Duck Derby, “Cow Milking” and lots more. Every weekend is a different theme- I think next year we’ll come for Balloons & Bounty when they launch hot air balloons and feature NYS Wines. Please enjoy some of our photos from the day…

We try to go to at least one game per year, I’d love to go to two this year. We start the Journey off by driving out to Albany and meeting up with my oldest sister Heather and her boy friend Jason. From there we drive down to the city and get to the stadium.

At the stadium it isn’t a baseball game with out the nachos. We usually split the food, and the costs, but the nachos are the best. This time was my first time at Monument park in the stadium, where they have all sorts of plaques for former Yankee players.

I was really happy this year to watch Nick Swisher play. I think he has the title of my new favorite Yankee. He seems like a nice guy, and a class act. Some other big moments of the game I got to see were Derek Jeter’s two hits that will get him closer to 3,000 hits. No other Yankee player has ever had 3,000 hits.

On the way home we usually stop at Sonic in Kingston. Last night I got to try that new onion burger and it was amazing! We also order more than enough to bring home. I still have a hot dog in my fridge at home waiting for me!

Each star collected six trophies. Eminem scored victories top artist, top male artist, top Billboard 200 album, top rap artist, top rap song and top rap album. The Beebs won for top new artist, top social artist, top streaming artist, top digital media artist, top pop album and top streaming song.

Bieber provided a water cooler moment when he kissed purported girlfriend Selena Gomez after he won the top new artist award, lending some serious credibility to all the talk they are dating.

Taylor Swift won top album artist of the year, while Rihanna, who led the field with 18 nominations, took top female artist of the year honors.

The ceremony, which returned after a five-year break, came back with a bang. Britney Spears opened the show by performing a racy duet with Rihanna on her song ‘S&M’ that featured the pair locking lips. Spears wasn’t done, though – she returned later in the broadcast to perform her hit ‘Till the World Ends’ with Nicki Minaj.

Beyonce also had a memorable evening, earning the Millennium Award. A taped tribute featured glowing remarks from such luminaries as Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Bono and her own parents. She then treated the crowd to a live performance of her new song, “Run the World (Girls),” before accepting the award.
