Music, food, shopping, and all your garlic and herb needs, can be found in Little Falls this Saturday for the annual Garlic and Herb Festival.

As a festival that started 17 years ago, with just a handful of farmers showcasing different herbs and such, has grown to a HUGE event, with more than 90 vendors on site. Whether you just want to do some early fall shopping, browsing, or you're looking for some locally grown garlic or other goodies, you'll find it at this year's festival.

So what can you expect at the festival? Well, you'll find many varieties of garlic and other herbs, and even some unique spins on the spices, and other items that incorporate these locally grown products. You can also enjoy live music throughout the day. There will even be free horse drawn carriage rides that will take you along the Erie Canal. Sounds like a fun Saturday in Central New York, right?! We thought so.

The 17th Annual Mohawk Valley Garlic and Herb Festival takes place in the "Arts District" of Little Falls - with its focus around Canal Place and Sterzinar Park. The event runs from 10am to 5pm this Saturday (September 8th). Cost is free, although they do encourage guests to make a $5 donation per person - A portion of this money will go to the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts. You can keep updated on the Garlic and Herb Festival and get more information by following the Facebook Event Page: Mohawk Valley Garlic & Herb Festival

Of course you'll want to bring some extra cash with you during the festival - You never know what kind of goodies you'll find. And you'll want a few bucks for a bite to eat, especially if you plan on being there for the majority (or all) of the festival.
