Genesis Drum & Bugle Corps Rehearses in Westmoreland

Have you been hearing an unfamiliar sound in Westmoreland? It's the Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps from Austin, TX. And they've been rehearsing all day on the field at Westmoreland Middle School.

Genesis is on their summer tour now, and returning to Central New York for this year's Drums Along The Mohawk event in August. Today they stopped in Westmoreland and the public was invited to come watch them practice. They did a full run through of their new show this afternoon and lots of folks got a chance to see them in action.

Drums Along The Mohawk is back at Rome Free Academy on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Every year, drum corps are invited to perform and compete in Rome, NY for Drum Corps International‘s World Tour. This year's show will be even bigger, with additional corps on the lineup and an earlier start time.
