G.I. Joe – Nostalgia Cartoon

What little boy didn’t look forward to the cartoon, G.I. Joe, ‘A Real American Hero’? It was a half-hour cartoon series based on the successful toyline from Hasbro and the comic book series from Marvel Comics. G.I Joe started out with two five-parters, then became a regular series that was on from from 1983 to 1986.
Here is the intro to the show.
After the initial two mini-series, the regular series began in September, 1985 around the same time of The Transformers being on TV. Remember the phrase, “Knowing is half the battle”? That came from G.I. Joe as a public safety lesson which was usually featured at the end of each show using G.I. Joe characters in brief scenarios to give safety tips to children.
