The American Heart Association and their 'Go Red for Women' campaign has been picking up steam every year. As they get ready to kick off another year, they're looking to create a local class of heart survivors.

The American Heart Association and their 'Go Red for Women' campaign is looking to make a local 'Class of 2016' - heart survivors from right here in the Utica and Central New York area. Ten women will be picked to be a part of this 'Class of 2016.' Their pictures and survivor stories will be featured all around the area - on billboards, online, in booklets... everywhere!

The American Heart Association has opened the application period, that will allow you to submit your survival story - ten women will be chosen from this group. Applications are available via this PDF form and they need to be submitted by September 15, 2015.

This is just another way the American Heart Association and their 'Go Red for Women' campaign is spotlighting our own local heroes. The ten women who will be a part of the 'Class of 2016' will be introduced during the 'Go Red kickoff event' - which will be held at Delmonico's on October 5th.
