Google is working on a way to help you count calories by taking pictures of your food. I mean everyone is taking pictures of their food anyways right?

Google engineers are developing an app that will detect your food in a photos, then based on how they look, give you the calorie count. Google says this will give users a way to keep a log of their meals to help them stay in shape.

Im2Calories will rely on image-processing technology that can identify and recognize the food in your photos, and by analyzing the pixels, the app will estimate how many calories you're about to spear on your fork. It bases the information on publicly available nutrition labels."

According to CNN, the technology behind Im2Calories is still in research and development. Therefore, you can't download just yet.
