Great Pumpkin Carve Turns Out The Best Jack O’Lanterns In Central New York

The Great Utica Pumpkin Carve is underway, and on Thursday night several artists turned out to see who could carved the best Jack O'Lantern. From one that was Harry Potter themed, to the Utica skyline each pumpkin was as impressive as the rest. Check out some of this Halloweens most creative carves.

The video above showcases all of the amazing work from the artists who participated, and some of them are really unbelievable. It may be hard to tell, but those aren't your average pumpkins. They're huge! They have to be to allow for such intricate work, such as that of the alien from the movie 'Mars Attack.' This event lasts all weekend long, and Friday be the perfect fall evening. Bring the whole family!

There will be beer, wine-tasting, food, and more. Also, there will be live entertainment on Friday night by Rusty Doves. Proceeds for this event go to organizations assisted by Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Utica. All the fun happens at Murnane Field in South Utica, near Pin-O-Rama. The Great Utica Pumpkin Carve happens Friday (10/7) from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday (10/8) from noon til 7 p.m. Happy Carving!
