Large Hail And Heavy Rain Could Hit Central New York This Afternoon
Before you kick off your 4th of July weekend, it looks like Mother Nature will kick off some strong storms across Central New York.
The National Weather Service out of Binghamton has issued a "Hazardous Weather Outlook" through the day today:
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AROUND MIDDAY AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT ACROSS THE FINGER LAKES EAST TOWARD THE INTERSTATE 81 CORRIDOR. STORMS WILL THEN MOVE EAST THROUGH THE AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING WITH SOME POSSIBLY BECOMING STRONG TO SEVERE. DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE BIGGEST THREAT HOWEVER LARGE HAIL WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ALONG WITH HEAVY RAINFALL."
