Taylor Swift Disses Tina Fey + Amy Poehler, Lets a ‘Source’ Diss Harry Styles

Taylor Swift covered Vanity Fair’s April 2013 issue, and apparently she’s mad as hell — at women she thinks are catty, at Harry Styles, at the media and at anyone else who’s ever said anything about her personal life.
Interestingly, though, she won’t talk about her romantic failings herself. She’ll let another person do it for her.
The interview opens with a question about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler‘s Golden Globes show dig, and Swift told the mag:
âYou know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people. Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, âThereâs a special place in hell for women who donât help other women.ââ
A curious statement, since most smart, funny women will likely gush whenever Fey and Poehler are mentioned — largely because they’ve shown the world it’s possible to be smart, funny and female. They aren’t the first ladies in the boys’ club of comedy, but they’re certainly the modern standard bearers who’ve paved the road for countless women to follow.
But here’s where things get really strange. Swift wouldn’t talk about her personal life herself, but she “authorized” someone else to tell the Vanity Fair writer about it — specifically about her time with Styles:
âHe wore her down,â the source says of Styles, who allegedly âchasedâ Swift for a year. âHe was all, like, âYouâre amazing — I want to be with you. I want to do this.ââ The relationship fell apart after he texted Swift to alert her of a picture on the Internet of him kissing a friend good-bye. They were âmaking out like with their hands all up in each otherâs hair,â says the source.
After Swift ended the relationship, he pursued her for the better part of a year until she finally took him back. âBut the whole time she says she feels like heâs looking at every girl,â the source continues. And then when they were in London together he âdisappears one night and after that it was like he just didnât want to keep going.â
Vanity Fair notes that Stylesâs rep, Benny Tarantini at Columbia Records, says Swiftâs sourceâs claims are âundeniably false.â So there’s that.
As for Conor Kennedy, whom Swift claims is the only other person she’s dated since 2010:
âIt was like a pendulum for her, swinging back and forth,â the source says of Swiftâs exes, with all of whom age has been a problem. Conor Kennedy, 17 at the time, was âjust like a two-month thing,â the source continues, and Swift âsays he was awesome.â The source says, âShe dated Jake [Gyllenhaal] and John [Mayer] when she was really young and they were in their 30s, and she got really hurt. So it was like âThat hurtâthis wonât. But then it did.ââ
Swift’s rep in the zeitgeist is also of a woman who tends to buy houses near her beaus. She’s blown that off as mere scuttlebutt, but property records show someone in her management company did in fact buy a home near the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port late last year. It’s since been sold.
âIt was like a house-flip,â her authorized source says. âA good short-term investment.â
