While you're trying to eat healthier you still need to be careful. A lot of healthy foods can actually cause some weight gain too. Here's a few foods to watch out for if you're eating too much of it. 

1) Almonds

Almonds are high in monounsaturated fats which have been associated with reduced risk of heart disease. They are very delicious, and healthy too. But, don't over indulge. A 1/4 cup kernels is around 206 calories.

 

2) Avocado

Eating avocados can lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels. During the summer, you will see everyone adding it to everything. At least 1/4 large or 1/2 small fruit is at 80 calories.

 

3) Banana

Banana's are a good source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. 1 small or 1/2 large fruit is around 61 to 89 calories.

 

4) Olive Oil

Who doesn't love drenching anything in Olive Oil? People who regularly consume olive oil are much less likely to develop cardiovascular diseases including hypertension (high blood pressure), stroke, and high cholesterol. Watch out though, 2 tablespoons is around 238 calories.

 

5) Pistachios

Pistachios contain around 3 grams of fiber, 6 grams of protein, and 11 grams of heart-healthy fat per serving, if your serving was around 49 nuts. 1/4 cup of kernels is about 171 calories.
