Help Fight Diabetes With Tour de Cure in Verona Beach June 3rd

Help fight diabetes with the Tour de Cure, a series of fundraising cycling events held in 44 states nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. This year, join the tour at Verona Beach State Park June 3rd.  A kickoff event will be held March 13th at Schuss Ski & Bike Shop on Commercial Drive in New Hartford from 5pm-8pm.

Our sister station Big Frog 104 is getting involved with 'Pedalin' With Polly Wogg.' You can join her team to ride or donate to the great cause.  Several raffle prizes are up for grabs for all who donate, including the bike she's riding on from Schuss.

The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, you will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer you on!

In 2011, more than 55,000 cyclists in 80 events raised more than $18 million to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
