You Can Help the Herkimer County Humane Society

One of our local animal shelters is looking for help, and you can be that help. It's a lot easier than you may think, and you'll be helping out the animals as well.

Who doesn't want to help animals in need?! You could be that help just by making a simple donation to the Herkimer County Humane Society - They're in need of some supplies they're running low on. If you would like to help, all you have to do is pick up one or two of the items on their wish list and drop them off.

Here's some of the things they're looking for:

- Clorox Bleach
- Purina One Dog Food
- Purina Kitten and Cat Food
- Scrub Sponges
- Towels

You can drop off the items at the Herkimer County Humane Society on Route 5s in Mohawk. Or you can shop online to get any supplies needed from the humane society's Amazon.com wish list. If you shop this way, you don't even have to leave your house to help AND the items are shipped right to the shelter.
