Tomorrow the country remembers those who lost their lives in the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. Many who were killed, in addition to those in the buildings, were many first responders who ran in while others were running out. Holland Farms Bakery and Deli in Yorkville is doing something special as a 'thank you' to local first responders who risk their lives everyday.

Heather Potrzeba is an employee at Holland Farms. She says this is something Marolyn Wilson, owner of Holland Farms, has been doing since the year after the attacks. Potrzeba says,

Holland Farms wants to recognize the first responders in our community for their great service all year long. It's important on this day to remember all those first responders and victims who lost their lives.

To salute all those men and women who bravely go to work everyday to keep our community safe, the popular bakery is giving a free coffee (any size) and any donut for free on September 11th. They are offering this from the time they open at 5:30 a.m. till they close the doors at 8 p.m. Wilson also offers the same compliment to veterans and active military on Veteran's Day. So, if you're in the Yorkville area tomorrow and you are a police, fire, EMT, or any other kind of first responder be sure to stop in and get your free coffee and donut.
