The Oneida Herkimer Solid Waste Authority's Household Hazardous Waste Facility will open for the season on Saturday, April 1st.

Residents can drop off paint, chemicals and other household hazardous waste at the Authority's facility located on Leland Avenue Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:00 and Saturdays from 7:00 to 2:00.

There's no charge for residents to drop off waste and no appointments are necessary.

The facility will be open through September 30th.

Since the Authority began collecting household hazardous waste 25 years ago, almost one million gallons of paint and chemicals have been disposed of.
