I Scream for Ice Cream: Virtual Vicky’s Top 10 Ice Cream Flavors

Kahlua Almond Amaretto – I actually discovered this flavor last year at Lickety Splits in Fairport, NY. It’s made by Perry’s Ice Cream. Even though it’s a fairly new flavor to me it’s number 1 because it’s just so amazingly good! The sweet taste of amaretto mixed with almonds is heavenly! The sad part is it’s not sold in the stores and is only produced March-September for the ice cream parlors. This flavor is hard to find locally. So far the closest place to Utica to have it is Cinderella’s in Sylvan Beach. Needless to say, every time I go to Sylvan Beach or to Fairport I have to stop and get this.

This is a staple for me in the summer. I look forward to the first soft vanilla with rainbow sprinkles every spring. I know it’s very plain but to me it’s classic. It just makes me feel like a kid eating a cone filled with this in the summer. And yes on hot days I can’t even stop it from dripping down my hand.

The sweet smell and taste of this is very tempting! I consider this one of my winter ice creams because I tend to eat more of this in the winter. My mom got me hooked on this one. We were the only 2 people in the house that would eat it, the rest of my family didn't like it. I don’t understand what’s not to like. The taste of maple and then the crunch of walnuts…yum!

This is pretty amazing if I do say so myself. My dad turned me on to this. At first I was a little skeptical because of its dark purple color but once I had a spoonful I was hooked. Now it’s usually a fight between my dad and I for the last few scoops of black raspberry out of the one and a half quart container.

I love the simplicity of this! The classic flavor of vanilla mixed with the hard crunch of regular M&M's. I usually take a couple of scoops of vanilla and then take a handful of M&M's and throw it on top. Then I mix it all up so that the M&M’s are covered in vanilla ice cream and enjoy!

This brings back memories of my birthday parties. My mom would always serve this with the cake. I would always ask for all 3 flavors. I’m not a big chocolate fan but this is just the right amount. I can split the taste with vanilla or with strawberry, however I see fit. And with the strawberry sometimes you would get the surprise piece of strawberry in it!

I love the mix of raspberry and citrus mixed together. I also love to add this to punch! The rainbow of colors is what gets me every time. I can have a bit of one flavor or a mix of 2 or 3 flavors!

If I’m going to Friendly’s and I’m trying to be good but want dessert I pick this. Since Sherbet is supposed to be better for you then ice cream I feel like I’m eating a little healthier. I laugh at myself, I know I’m crazy. I love the taste of watermelon and this reminds me of watermelon gum from when I was little.

This is delicious! Vanilla ice cream mixed with chocolate, caramel, and peanuts. Yum! I highly recommend this when you’re looking for a refreshing summer treat. It’s like eating a Snickers candy bar and ice cream all at once!

This might be the last on my list but it’s definitely a treat to have! I love the mint green color of the ice cream! It just looks fun! I’m a fan of mint chocolate so why wouldn’t I be a fan of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. To me this is a summer ice cream. I tend to only eat it during the summer. One of the places I get it is the New York State Fair.
