James Durbin Eliminated From ‘Idol’
May 13, 2011 6:16 AM ‘American Idol’ season 10 is officially down to the final three. Over 72 million votes were cast this week, making it the highest top-four vote ever in the history of the show.
Unfortunately, even record-breaking numbers weren’t enough to save James Durbin. The 22-year-old rocker was sent packing Thursday night, marking yet another surprise in an already surprise-heavy season.
Thursday night’s elimination was between Durbin and country singer Scotty McCreery, a duo that many predicted would make it to the finals.
On a lighter note, Thursday’s results show featured performances from Enrique Iglesias, Lady Gaga and Jordin Sparks, duets from the remaining contestants and the world premiere of Steven Tyler’s new video. I hope it’s on you’re DVR or you missed a good one.
