John Paul Henson Of The Muppets Has Died At 48

John Paul Henson, 48, the son of Muppets creator Jim Henson died Friday in Saugerties, New York.

Henson died from a sudden massive heart attack at his home.   He was the puppeteer behind the ogre Sweetums.  Henson leaves behind his wife Gyongyi and daughter Katrina age 15 and Sydney age 10.

The Muppets were recently featured in Super Bowl ads for the Toyota Highlander and have a new movie “Muppets Most Wanted” opening on March 21st.
