Jordin Sparks is filming a music video for ‘Celebrate,’ the song she recorded with Whitney Houston for the movie ‘Sparkle.’ The official YouTube site of the film posted a new clip with footage from the video shoot and scenes from the movie featuring the full cast, including Houston and Cee Lo Green.

Written by R. Kelly, ‘Celebrate’ is a collaboration between Houston and Sparks, who play mother and daughter in the movie. In the preview snippet, Sparks sings the track alone and with a group of friends. Sparks says of the song, “It’s so encouraging, so upbeat and just so happy. ‘Celebrate’ is a feel-good song. Doing this music video, I had the best time. It couldn’t have been any better.”

The goal for Sparks and the cast was to make a fun video in Houston’s memory. Scenes between Sparks and Houston are mixed into the footage, along with interviews with actors Mike Epps and Tika Sumpter. Cee Lo Green appears as you’ve never seen him before — with hair.

‘Sparkle’ arrives in theaters on Aug. 17. ‘Celebrate’ is available now on iTunes. Houston sings another song on the ‘Sparkle’ soundtrack, a new version of the gospel hymn ‘His Eye Is on the Sparrow.’
