Katy Perry Performs “Firework” At Oprah’s After Oscar Party
Katy Perry made a surprise appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special on Monday (February 28th). The singer joined the kids of the PS 22 Chorus as they sang her hit, “Firework.” Later, Katy and her husband Russell did their first interview together as a married couple.
The fifth graders from NYC’s Staten Island PS 22, closed the 2011 Oscars with their own rendition of “Over the Rainbow.” Tweetes have been coming in saying Katy upstaged the kids. Feel free to comment.
- How do you think Katy did? Would you have rather just heard the kids?
- Do “surprise” performances often help the show more than the people performing?
