While most young boys are focused on playing video games, Ezekiel Stoddard of Temple Hills, MD, is more concerned with preaching the gospel to his congregation. You see, Stoddard recently became an ordained minister at only 11-years-old.

Stoddard was ordained on May 6th in a ceremony held at his independent Pentecostal church, where his parents are also pastors. And although he insists he’s a typical young boy in many ways, he plans on being a minister for the rest of his life.

“People come to you, they ask you questions about why you should act like a child and not a minister,” he said. “I do things like a child, but still I am a minister. I am an evangelical.”

According to Stoddard, he found his calling after God appeared in a dream and told him to read the oft-quoted Psalm 23.

“God gave me that particular scripture because a lot of people, they try to draw you away from the lord, trying to get you on the wrong path,” he said.

What do you think? Is a child capable of leading a congregation? Or does age have no bearing?
