Say it isn't so - Another business in our area has announced they will be closing their doors... for good.

We're talking about Kirby's Grill and Taphouse in Yorkville (right on Commercial Drive). Kirby's posted a note on their Facebook Page, stating that they will be permanently closing.

The good news?

The popular restaurant is NOT closed yet. According to the note posted, they will be closing "forever on Sunday, September 9." That means you still have a little bit of time left to stop in, grab an ice cold beer, and meet your friends or family for lunch or dinner.

Just a few weeks ago it was announced that the Red Door Dairy Store, a popular diner and ice cream spot went up for sale. It feels like we have quite a few well-known, and well-loved restaurants and businesses closing up in our area. And we never like to see or hear that.

Kirby's Grill also thanked the guests and staff for everything over the years in their note. According to the Facebook Post, the Kirby's Grill and Taphouse locations in Syracuse will stay open.

You can find the other two Kirby's locations at: 408 East Genesee Street in Fayetteville and 2212 West Genesee Street in Syracuse.

And don't forget to stop by our Kirby's location before it closes for good. The restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30a-9p, Friday and Saturday from 11:30a-10p, and Sunday from 12p-9p.

Goodbye Kirby's - Another great restaurant we'll definitely be missing in the Utica area.
