Knut The Polar Bear Dies

I remember the first time I saw pictures of Knut back in 2007 and couldn’t help but fall in love with this playful, adorable little polar bear. He passed away suddenly this past weekend at a German zoo.
Knut became an international sensation in 2007 when the world fell in love with this baby polar bear who’d been rejected by his mother. He was hand-raised by zookeeper Thomas Doerflein until he was able to take care of himself. Knut was four years old. His loyal fans have been visiting Knut’s enclosure at the Zoo Berlin and leaving tributes to him A necropsy will be done to determine what caused Knut’s death.
