Save for some (understandably) canned statements from her publicist, Lea Michele has been largely quiet since the death of her beloved boyfriend and her 'Glee' co-star Cory Monteith.

The actor died of drug and alcohol toxicity (aka an overdose) in a Vancouver hotel earlier this month, leaving Michele completely and utterly devastated. She went quiet on Twitter, which we can't blame her for, but has finally commented to her friends, fans and followers.

While rumors about their relationship sprung up during her silence – like the notion that they discussed marriage -- she stayed out of the public eye. She mourned and she grieved, while speculation about the future of 'Glee' in relationship to Monteith's character (Finn Hudson) loomed large.

Now that Monteith's death is slightly less fresh, Michele has emerged to issue the following tweet, thanking fans for their support and shared a photo of her and Monteith hugging and wearing gigantic, loving smiles. It was her first tweet since July 12. Monteith died July 13.

It's a reminder of a tragedy and a life lost too soon. Poor Lea. She must have such a shattered heart.

We continue to keep Lea Michele and Cory Monteith in our thoughts and prayers.
