Legendary TV And Movie Actor James Garner Has Died At 86

Legendary TV and movie actor James Garner has died at 86. According to CNN, the actor died over the weekend of natural causes at his home in Los Angeles.

Garner is survived by his wife Lois and their two daughters Gigi and Kim.

Garner starred in several movies but perhaps was most famous for his roles in the TV shows "Rockford Files" and "Maverick." He even did many of his own stunts playing Rockford.

In 2004, he was awarded The Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.

When I think of James Garner, "Rockford Files" is what pops in my mind. Ironically, just this past weekend I'd been watching the final season of "Rockford Files." Such fun to watch him in that role. One of my other favorite roles of his was in the film "Victor/Victoria" with Julie Andrews. He played it so well.

Sad to see such a legendary actor die but at least we can watch his many shows. Thanks Jim.
